We HIGHLY recommend that you house your new rabbit indoors. Rabbits are prey animals and San Diego County is home to many predators such as hawks, owls, coyotes, raccoons, foxes and bob cats, all of which kill small animals left outside (even rabbits kept in a cage or hutch). Wet or hot weather and parasites such as fleas, flies, and mosquitoes also can be deadly to rabbits. You can easily house your rabbit indoors and make him a part of your family.  He will live a much longer and healthier life, and you will enjoy him so much more.  Learn more about housing your bunny indoors: Indoor Bunny Housing

Daisy is a volunteer and staff favorite but for some reason keeps getting overlooked by families visiting to adopt a rabbit. Somehow the other bunnies seem to get all the attention! Daisy is a wonderful girl, sweet and easygoing and she doesn't mind being held. She's not too big (though not tiny, either) and would do great with gentle children. In other words, she's the kind of rabbit most people are looking for! $100 to the person who can figure out why this bun hasn't been adopted in almost a year at the shelter. Daisy is spayed and would make a great companion for your neutered male at home; she's lived with other rabbits and seems to enjoy their company.

Sinatra is a great rabbit. He is easy to hold and very mellow. He would make a great companion for a first-time rabbit owner. He has gone on a few "dates" with female rabbits and we feel he would do very well as a companion for some lucky bunny girl. Sinatra is easygoing and would in all likelihood do well with children. He enjoys being out of his cage for playtime and likes to be pet. He is a nice size - not too big and not too small and as you can see he is very handsome. We think he may be a Dutch/Silver Marten mix and he's about 3 years old. Sinatra is already neutered and is ready to go home with you today!
Jasper is a tan Dwarf mix, a cute and clever little boy who's full of spunk. He's very active and busy, loves to play with his toys, and enjoys his runtime. He's the ideal bunny for someone who enjoys a more spirited pet and wouldn't insist on picking up and snuggling him. Not that he doesn't like to be pet, he just prefers to receive affection on his own terms and ideally with all four feet firmly on the floor. Jasper will keep you laughing with his funny antics. He's not a good choice for a family with children and he would do best in a rabbit-savvy home. Jasper is neutered and if you have a very mellow girl who's looking for a boyfriend, he just might be the one for her. One more thing... Jasper will need lots of room, he might be happiest in a pen than a cage. He also needs plenty of toys and lots of runtime to keep him entertained and out of trouble.

As you can see Kelly is a most adorable little girl! She's still young (just under a year) but as a Dwarf mix bunny she probably won't grow to be much bigger than she is now. Like most smaller rabbits she's very spunky and playful, and always on alert. A fun little girl for an adult household or perhaps a family with "older" teenagers.
Jake is a neutered male New Zealand Mix, born in July of 2007. He has been living with other rabbits and would like a bunny girlfriend if possible, but he'd be equally content to stay solo for a while and snuggle with his humans instead. Jake is friendly and easygoing, and loves people. He is comfortable being housed in an exercise pen and is good with his litterbox.
Abbott (black) and Costello (grey) are brothers about 1 1/2 years old. Both are neutered. Costello is a great entertainer; he loves to play with all kinds of toys and will even play ball with you, rolling it back and forth. Abbott is funny and curious too, but not quite as energetic as his brother. Together they are one of the funniest (and most gorgeous) pairs to have been at the shelter in a long time. If you need more giggles in your life, these guys fit the bill. Good bunnyproofing is a must for Abbott & Costello as they will chew things if left to their own devices.

Looking for a smaller bunny? Cha-Cha is a sweet and gentle little girl who would like to live indoors with her new family. She is a bit timid but is getting braver. She likes to play in cardboard boxes and munch on her chew toys. Cha-Cha is about 5-6 months old now and will probably grow up to be small to medium-sized. She's spayed and ready to be adopted.

As you can see Spunky is a most adorable little guy! He's still young (just under a year) but as a Dwarf mix bunny he won't get much bigger than he is now. Like most smaller rabbits he's very spunky and playful, hence the name! He's also very quick and tends to get underfoot so he's not the right choice for a family with kids, but he'll be very entertaining and fun to have around.
Jack (left) and Jill (right) are BIG bunnies, probably siblings, who are looking for a home together. They will need plenty of room to stretch their legs and exercise. No small cage for these guys! Jack and Jill are gorgeous, unique-looking rabbits. They are a bit on the shy side but are coming around. They are very cute and would make fun companions for some lucky person or family. They are spayed/neutered, and ready to go home with you.
Marcie is a black-and-white Dutch female, about 7 months old as of April 2008. She's still growing and will probably end up being around 6 pounds or so. She's very social and would do well in just about any home, including one with gentle children. Marcie will be spayed prior to or upon adoption.
