Beautiful Sabrina, is a young Dutch bunny who loves to have fun! This active young girl is about 8 months old, friendly, funny, and loves to run and play. She has been spayed and is great with her litterbox and loves her fresh veggies. Sabrina would do well with an adult home or one with older, bunny-experienced children. She might be a little too assertive for young children. Sabrina should do fine in a home with well-behaved kitty or dog friends. She might also make a good companion to your sweet bunny boy.
Miss Molly seeks a "forever" home she can depend on. Sweet Molly recently lost her bunny companion. And very sadly, she also lost her home. She is back in HRS foster care where she is grieving for her lost companion and wondering "what happened?" Molly is a sweet bunny girl about 2 years old who is gentle and kind. She makes a great bunny companion and would do best in a quieter home. She's great with her litterbox, loves her fresh greens and a nice piece of fruit from time to time. Molly is smallish; about 41/2 to 5 lbs and a pretty "chocolate milk" color. Can you give sweet Molly the "forever" home she needs, as a companion to your sweet bunny boy?
Blossom and Berry are two bonded female bunnies who were on the "red list" in a Los Angeles shelter. This means they were set to be euthanized if not rescued before a certain date. These girls are adorable together and really depend on each other for companionship. Blossom, on the left, is a standard/Dutch mix with Harlequin coloring, while Berry is a Dutch/Dwarf mix. Blossom has beautiful light blue eyes, and Berry's eyes are "half and half" - half brown and half blue. Very unusual! Both girls are getting used to their new foster home environment. They are pretty good with their litterbox and learning to enjoy fresh veggies and lots of good grass hay. They would do well in a home that has bunny experience, and are probably fine with kitties or gentle dogs. We will update their description as we learn more about these two pretty girls.
Little Benny is a dwarf-mix boy who is sweet as can be. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter where he was on the list to be "next." This darling boy is a bit older; the shelter estimated 7 years old but think maybe not that old. More like 5 years, perhaps. He had an upper respiratory infection but we've treated that with medication and he's much better now. Benny is good with his litterbox, loves to be pet and get attention, but he does not care to be held. He would make a good companion to an experienced bunny family and might be good with your gentle bunny girl. Benny is about 3½ to 4 lbs and will stay small.
Ginger (top) and Nutmeg are ready for their new home! These little lop girls, Ginger and Nutmeg, were born in the shelter and taken into HRS foster care after weaned from their mother. They are spayed, litterbox trained, and ready for new homes! These girls are very bonded and must be adopted together. Ginger & Nutmeg are a bit shy and take a while to warm up to you but once they will interact with you more. They do not care to be held but do enjoy pets (Nutmeg more than Ginger). They are best suited to an adult home or one with older, bunny experienced children. They love to chew on boxes and willow chew toys, and run and play in the garden during their supervised play time. They are "easy keepers" who love their fresh hay and twice-daily green salads.
Fuzzy little bun, Jeffrey, needs a home where he will get plenty of attention. This sweet young boy is an American Fuzzy Lop mix, with a bit of English Angora in him (you can't see it but he has little tufts on his ears). He is sweet and shy; about 6 to 8 months old. Little Jeffrey has recently been neutered and is getting better with his litter box. He's learning to eat fresh veggies and lots of hay. Jeffrey will need a home where he can get a lot of attention, as his fur will need regular grooming. He'll need grooming sessions about twice a week to keep his fur from matting. Or, you can keep it cut short to help prevent matting. Little Jeffrey might make a good companion to your bunny girl, as he's a bit shy and on the quieter side. He would do best in an experienced home of adults or older children (over 10 years) who can handle him carefully and help with his care.
Note: HRS regularly holds "angora grooming" classes to help you learn how to properly care for your angora bunny. Check with us to see when the next class is coming up!
Charm is beautiful, friendly and playful. She is happy to be held and loves to be petted. Charm is a 7 month old Dutch bunny girl who lives in a busy foster home with cats, dogs, and other rabbits where she thinks all the activity is pretty cool! She is spayed and using her litterbox. She loves her fresh hay and the yummy greens she gets for dinner every evening. Charm is an active bunny, best suited to a family with older, well-behaved children or adults. She definitely charms everyone she meets!
Big guy, Sampson, is a big love bun! This big boy is super sweet and loves gentle attention. Sampson is a young adult Californian, who is a bit shy but loves to have his head and cheeks rubbed. He LOVES his yummy salads and is getting good at eating hay. Sampson is a body-builder in a bun; he's very muscular and solid. But a big, softy at heart. He would love a nice family with well-behaved children, or a home where he'll have a sweet bunny girlfriend. He needs a roomy x-pen home where he'll have plenty of room to stretch out. He's really too big for a cage. If you love big buns, Sampson is your guy!
Little Pea is a tiny girl with a big spirit. This darling dwarf Silver Marten girl is about 2 years old and as sweet as can be! She has a little feisty side to her though, just like most dwarf bunnies. Little Pea loves to be pet and enjoys attention from her human friends. She's very tiny so not a good choice for a home with small children; she might do fine with older, quiet, bunny-experienced children. Her best home would be with an adult family who is rabbit-experienced. Little Pea does not enjoy being in a cage, but much prefers an x-pen environment; that's what she had in her former home. Little Pea might make a good companion choice with your gentle bunny boy, or a sweet 'best friend' to you.
Oliver and Farrow are siblings still waiting for a wonderful new home! This bunny boy and girl are about 1½ yrs old and ready for their new family and home. Farrow, a Rex girl (right), is active, friendly, and very confident. She just wants to be the center of activity. Oliver (left) is a dear boy; sweet, gentle, friendly and well-behaved. He loves his fresh hay and veggies and is a fairly "easy keeper." They currently live in an x-pen setting, and will need plenty of run time in their new home. They might do well in an enclosed patio or room where they don't live in a cage or a pen, but have more room to run around. Both bunnies are medium-size; about 6½ to 7 lbs. Oliver and Farrow are best suited to an experienced bunny home with adults or older, well-behaved children who have experience with rabbits. They also are used to well-behaved cats and dogs.
Little Cece needs a 'dwarf experienced' bunny home where she can be the "Princess in Charge." Little Cece is dwarf bunny girl, about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs. At about 3 years old, she is a healthy girl with a lot of personality! Like most dwarf bunny girls, Cece has more than her share of 'attitude.' If you've had a dwarf bunny girl in the past, you'll know what we're talking about. She's a bit protective of her cage and will grunt or 'box' at you if you mess with her things. This is pretty typical bunny behavior, but easy to work around. Cece would do best in an x-pen setting or a nice larger cage that sits on the floor where she can come and go on her own. She is not crazy about being picked up and is not appropriate for a home with children. She was in a home with a small child before coming to HRS and did not do well at all. She's also not comfortable with dogs but should be fine around cats. Cece is great with her litterbox, loves her fresh salads, and enjoys run time where she can run, play and dance with joy! She also enjoys being pet and getting gentle cheek rubs. If you're an adult family with bunny experience, Cece might be a good fit for you.

Adorable dwarf boy, Jake, needs loving and dedicated family. Little Jake is a dwarf-mix boy about 4-5 lbs, who came to us from a local shelter. His front teeth are somewhat maloccluded (crooked) and will likely need regular trimming. He is otherwise healthy and sweet. Jake is a bit shy but is learning to trust and will now take food from your hand. Especially if it is a yummy bit of fruit treat! Jake is "excellent" with his litterbox and loves his fresh hay and greens. He really enjoys playing in a cardboard box and will get underneath it and move it all around his x-pen. It's quite entertaining! Jake needs a home with adults or quiet, well-behaved older children, where he'll get plenty of attention and his teeth will be well cared-for by a rabbit-experienced veterinarian. He's an absolute doll and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion.
Update 3.24.08:Jake's teeth continued to grow crookedly so the vet recommended they be pulled. He is doing well and will be ready again for a new home, soon. The good news about this is that Jake's teeth will not need regularly trimming and now he won't be able to chew furniture! You will need to provide him some special care by chopping up his veggies so he can pick them up in small bites.
Attie is a beautiful Dutch girl with a gentle personality and playful nature. This pretty girl is a about 8 months old and hoping for a new home - very soon! She loves to be pet and is playful and active, Attie loves her fresh hay, is good with her litterbox, and enjoys a nice green salad every day. She is used to well-behaved dogs and kitties, and would likely do well in a family with children. Attie needs plenty of room to stretch out so is best housed in an x-pen setting, She also needs plenty of toys and time to run as Dutch rabbits are very athletic and have a lot of energy to burn! She might also make a great companion to your sweet bunny boy.
Handsome older boy, Dominic, needs a loving home and quiet companion. Is your older bunny girl seeking a quiet companion? Dominic, a big bunny boy, is about 5 years old and between 8 and 10 pounds of sweet, bunny love. Dominic needs a quieter home with a bunny experienced family and one - he hopes - with a bunny girl to love. Dominic was recently returned to HRS when his family had to move. He's missing his home where he had run of the house and a lot of attention. Dominic is good with his litter box, loves his fresh veggies, and really enjoys his run time out of his pen. Since he is a larger boy, he will need an x-pen setting or a "bunny room" to live in. He is not comfortable in a cage. If you enjoy big bunnies or your bunny girl is in need of a quiet companion, please ask about Domino. He's a big bunny love!
Lorna Doone is hoping for a sweet bunny boy to love. This lovely young bunny girl is 5 months old and hoping for her 'forever' home. She is one of six bunny kits who were born at a shelter and taken into foster care with their mom. She is a sweet girl, somewhat shy, but very affectionate and easy to handle. Lorna Doone enjoys gentle attention and loves to sit by your side for pets. She has a foot fetish and will tickle you to death by trying to groom your feet! Lorna Doone would do well in a family with children, or an adult home where she will get a lot of attention. We want her to have a rabbit companion so will be looking for a home where she can be adopted to go home with a bunny boy.
Craig wants a fun home with a nice, new family. Active youngster, Craig, is a 9 month-old New Zealand-mix boy who is very active. He enjoys playing, running around, and climbing in a Cottontail Cottage. Craig is a friendly boy who would do well in home home or as the companion to a sweet bunny girl. Craig is neutered, getting good with his litterbox, and really hopes he'll have a wonderful new home - very soon!
Sweet Ariel is a lovely Dutch bunny, who is looking forward to having her first real home. About 7 months old, this pretty girl is spayed, using a litterbox, and ready for a family! She's active, friendly, easy to hold and very social. She does startle easily at loud noises but should get used to that over time. She would be best in a home with older, well-behaved children or adults. She might also be a good companion choice for your bunny boy. A very active bun, Ariel would do best in an x-pen housing setup to give her enough room to move around yet keep her safely contained when you are not home.
Funny, curious Velvet seeks new home where she is pampered and loved. Pretty Velvet recently came to HRS foster care from a local shelter where she was not doing well at all. The poor girl was frantic about being in a cage and panicked every time someone approached her. As you can imagine that did not work well at all in the shelter environment. This pretty Mini Rex girl is now in a foster home where she's housed in a roomy x-pen with a box to play in, lots of toys, fresh greens twice a day and unlimited yummy hay! Velvet also gets plenty of run time in the morning and evening, which has really brought out her fun and playful nature. We think Velvet is about 4 or 5 years old and best suited to an adult home. She might also enjoy a bunny boy companion. Velvet does not tolerate being held (though you can pick her up to do her nails), and really needs the freedom to interact with you on her own terms. When comfortable, she will climb in your lap, bump your ankles for attention and follow you around. Velvet's current living situation is an x-pen and plenty of run time in the kitchen/dining room area. Her foster mom interacts with her on the floor, which is just what Velvet loves. Velvet is "perfect" with her litterbox and has been spayed. Is this pretty Mini Rex girl a good match for you?
Update April 08: Since being in foster care for two months, Velvet has become sweet and loving and is a whole new bunny! She met some boys at our recent adoption day and showed us that she would love to have a bunny boyfriend. She was very calm and sweet to the bunny boys she met.
** ADOPTED 5.4.08 **
Lovely Rex girl, Katia, is hoping for a special new home. This pretty girl is about 4 to 5 years old, and very gentle and sweet. She came into a local shelter as part of a large relinquishment of Rex rabbits from a breeder. Katia got a slight head tilt, which has not fully recovered. Her right eye also is a bit "squinty" from having been on the 'down' side. You can see that she has a slight "quizzical" look. It just makes her more endearing. The vet believes the tilt came from a common rabbit parasite, E Cuniculi, and she has been treated for that with medication. The medicine is finished and she is now hoping to find a new home with an experienced bunny family. Katia has been spayed, is litter box trained, and ready for her new home. As you can see, she is social, friendly, and likes to interact with people.
Update 2/25/08: Katia's head tilt is resolving and she can see better out of her 'squinty' eye. It's so great to see this improvement in her.
Jack & Sugar are hoping for a quiet "forever" home. This darling pair of bunnies is totally devoted to each other and will spend hours snuggling and grooming. Jack is about 3 years old and Sugar is a little over 1. She is a Lion Head and he is a little dwarf-mix boy. They are so cute together! Jack & Sugar are good with their litterbox, love to play with toys, and especially enjoy willow balls and grass mats. This little pair of bunnies is best suited to a quiet adult home but might do okay in a home with well-behaved children over 10 yrs. They are not suited to a home with small children. Though easy to handle, they do not like to be held and are too delicate for little hands. Jack & Sugar are used to living in an x-pen with a lot of run time and will need this in their new home.
Check out Jack & Sugar on You Tube!
Handsome youngster, Morgan, wants a home where he will get a lot of attention. Young New Zealand boy, Morgan, is about 7 months old and sweet as can be! Morgan enjoys being pet and we think he would be a good choice as a "family" bunny for a home with well-behaved youngsters and gentle cats or dogs. He's been neutered and is getting great with his litterbox. He also loves his fresh hay and greens every day, and playing in the Cottontail Cottage. Morgan came into foster care with another bunny, so he might be a good match for your sweet bunny girl.
Little Rex girl, Lia, needs a caring and experienced bunny family. Lia is a young adult Mini Rex female who came into a local shelter a few months ago. She is a bit more on the sensitive side and the noisy shelter environment was stressful for her. Lia also became super protective of her space in the cage, which was a problem for the shelter. One thing the shelter staff noticed about Lia was that once you picked her up and held her, she was SUPER SWEET. The shelter contacted HRS to ask if we could take her because they knew she would do so much better in a home environment than in the shelter where she was becoming a problem. Lia now is in foster care where she is becoming more calm in her environment. She is living in a roomy x-pen setting, with toys to mentally stimulate her and plenty of room to stretch out or play. Lia is learning to become good at using her litterbox, to eat more hay, and enjoy more attention from people. She would do best in an experienced bunny home as a companion to a gentle boy bunny, or where she will get a lot of attention. She's not a great choice for small children but might be okay with older, bunny experienced and well-behaved kids.
** ADOPTED 5.6.08 **
Cotton and Thomas are a sweet, devoted pair looking for a quiet home. These gorgeous bunnies are an adorable pair. Thomas is a bit shy while Cotton is friendly and outgoing. Cotton is very snuggly and oh so soft! These buns are "easy keepers," and would be a good fit for an adult home or one with well-behaved, older children. Cotton & Thomas are litter box trained and eager for a new home where they can live in a pen environment. We believe that Cotton is about 3 years old and Thomas may be a bit older at 4 or 5 years. If you're looking for a lovely pair of bunnies, Cotton and Thomas may be perfect for you!
Update, July 07:Cotton has lovely longer fur, which is surprisingly quite easy to maintain. She needs grooming about once a week and is very tolerant of being handled. Contact hrs@sandiegorabbits.org to learn more about Cotton & Thomas.
Nathan is a handsome, sweet boy who longs for his own family and a bunny girl companion. This darling boy will make a wonderful companion for his new family. Nathan is about 1½ years old, friendly and funny; an active, playful boy. He loves getting attention from humans and is hoping someday for a bunny girlfriend. Even though he has only three legs, Nathan "zooms" around during play time and balances well with his remaining back leg. This funny boy loves to "lounge" in his litterbox and stretch outside his cage door to beg for pets. He loves his fresh hay, two salads a day, and a fruit treat a couple times a week. He's really an "easy keeper!"
Nathan's only real "special need" is that he must have a non-slippery surface in his living area, where the flooring has carpet or throw rugs. His run area must also not be slippery. This makes it easier for him to move about and keep his balance. Nathan would do best in an x-pen setup in his new home.
Little girl, Sunny, loves people and wants a home where she will get lots of love and attention. This pretty little girl came to HRS from a local vet's office where she was turned-in by a Good Samaritan. Sunny had been found on the street in Escondido with a severely broken back leg. It was so bad the vet had to amputate. Sunny hasn't let this slow her down; her active nature and "sunny" disposition keep her going strong. Sunny is a young girl, about 6 months old, litter box trained and spayed. She LOVES attention and will beg for pets and nose kisses. She doesn't mind being held for short periods of time for a nice snuggle. Sunny is happy and healthy and would love a new family to play with. She would likely do well with children. She's probably not a good choice for a home that will have dogs in the same living area as the bunnies; she gets nervous when she hears dogs barking. Sunny does need to be housed on carpet to prevent her from slipping, so she can more easily move about on her three legs. An x-pen setup would be best as that will give her more room and be easier for her to manage. Sunny might also make a good companion to your bunny boy; she really loves Nathan (above) and boy, wouldn't they be really cute together!

Maggie Mae longs for a home to call her own. This pretty New Zealand Black girl has been in shelters and foster care for too long. She needs her own home. About 4 years old now, Maggie can't remember a time when someone called her "my own." She was dumped at a shelter when just a young girl and languished there for more than a year. Then into foster care, learning to trust again, and now she's been here nearly three years. Maggie has a sweet personality, loves to have her cheeks rubbed, and simply wants a place where she's accepted for herself. She will reach out and nibble at your clothes and bump your ankles with her nose to ask for a pet. Living in a cage for so long has caused problems with her litterbox habits. It's just too small. She needs a roomy area for a larger litterbox, where she can dive right into her hay and have enough room for "all" of her. Otherwise, in a too-small area, she leaves too many droppings on her rug. Maggie loves other bunnies and has always been friendly. We think she would love to have a male bunny to snuggle and be her companion. Maggie would be a wonderful addition to an experienced bunny home that has room to house her on an enclosed patio or in a bunny room, with a roomy space and a big litterbox full of hay. She really wants to please and to be loved. Would you consider Maggie Mae for your own?

This fun-loving pair are looking for their "forever" home! In foster care for 3 years now, Alex & Emily once had a wonderful home - with their own second-story loft to run and play. But that's gone now, and they have languished in foster care just hoping for someone to notice them. These bunnies are so sweet and so easy to care for. They love to eat lots of hay (great for their health) and big yummy salads! They play games of chase when dinner is coming, and at night they love to play with their big rattle ball and throw it back and forth. Emily (on left above) has a chronic sneeze, but doctors have determined that she's not ill; just seems to have a little dust allergy - kind of like us humans! If you're looking for two friendly, big, fun loving bunnies - these two kids are perfect for you! They are used to dogs and might do well with older (10+) well-behaved kids. Email hrs@sandiegorabbits.org to learn more about Alex & Emily. Please, don't make them wait any longer....

Pretty girl, Jenni, seeks attentive and kind bunny slaves and maybe a kitty friend. This lovely girl has pretty "Maybelline Eyes" and is about 2 years old. Jenni did not do well in the shelter as she was very bothered by hands coming into her cage and would "box" at people who bothered her things. Now, Jenni lives in an x-pen setup, which is much better for her. She has calmed down considerably and enjoys attention. She loves to take a carrot from your hand and to have her cheeks rubbed and her forehead pet. She doesn't care too much to be held, however. Jenni is active and playful, and loves her run time and is perfect with her litterbox. She's used to cats and might like one for a play friend. She is bossy with bunny boys, but might do well with a mellow, older boy. Jenni is best suited to an adult family or one with older, bunny-experienced children, as the companion to a cat or well-behaved dog, or maybe a nice bunny boy. Jenni is a medium size bunny and weighs about 6 lbs. She has very soft, luxurious fur and very pretty markings on her ears.
Martin needs a special home - one that lasts a lifetime! Small in stature but large in personality. This handsome bunny boy is full of himself and looking for a home with a lot of toys to keep him busy. Martin has an old shoulder injury (that is completely healed) so we recommend a carpeted area and an x-pen (not a cage) for better traction. Martin stands on his hind legs to greet you each morning and loves to be pet. He does have a tendency to vocalize and be grumpy when in a cage so a pen environment and lots of run time is recommended. He would also love a Cottontail Cottage, thank you very much! Martin is looking for an adult home with a family who has previous rabbit experience. To learn more about this beautiful Silver Marten boy, contact us at hrs@sandiegorabbits.org.
Beautiful Bindy Seeks Loving, Permanent Home. This lovely Standard Rex female is friendly, playful, and confident. She loves her toys and her run time, and enjoys playing games with her human friends. Bindy is an active girl and needs plenty of toys and lots of run time - a minimum of 4 hours per day. She is best suited to an adult home, or one with well-behaved older children (over 10 yrs) who have previous rabbit experience. Bindy needs plenty of room, so must be housed in an x-pen environment as seen here: Pen Living. This gives her room to play while keeping her safely contained when you aren't around to supervise her activities. Bindy is about 2 1/2 years old, and prefers to be a single girl, getting all the attention. She's great with her litterbox and loves her hay and fresh greens. Can you give Bindy the loving and "permanent" home she so deserves? Contact HRS at hrs@sandiegorabbits.org to learn more.
B.J. and Lacey are an older bunny couple who need a quiet, "forever" home. This lovely bunny pair are completely devoted to each other and have spent the last 7 years of their lives together; they are about 8 years old now. They were adopted a little over 5 years ago, but sadly their "dad" passed away and there was no one else to take them in. They are back at HRS hoping for a new home. The best word to describe these bunnies is "precious." If you love older bunnies then you'll know what we mean. They snuggle together, groom, munch hay in the box together, and even have little "old married couple" spats over the best piece of carrot or broccoli. B.J. & Lacey would love to have a home again, where they can live in an x-pen or their own room, and just hang out in a comfortable environment with some pets and snuggles from their human friends. Can you giving a loving home to this older bunny pair?

Older bunny boy, Daniel, is hoping for a comfortable new home. Does your older bunny girl need a sweet boy for company? Maybe Daniel would be perfect for her. This older boy (estimated to be about 9 years old) was recently turned into a local shelter by a family who didn't want him anymore. Can you think of anything more sad!? Just when he needs them most they drop him off at the shelter. Little Daniel is the sweetest bunny boy who loves attention, enjoys his run time, and just needs your love. He is doing really great physically; he does have some thinning fur on the bottom of his feet and his eyes are a bit 'foggy' which is normal for this age. He probably will get old age cataracts like most bunnies do. His left tear duct also is scarred shut so his eye gets weepy sometimes and need special eye drops. Other than those minor things, he's doing really great! We were very surprised to find him in such good condition. Now all we need is a wonderful new home for this older boy, to ensure his final years are comfortable and spent with a loving family who wouldn't ever think of giving him away.
Pretty dwarf girl, Bettina, is searching for well-trained bunny slaves! Little Bettina is a darling dwarf-mix girl with big, soulful brown eyes. About 3 years old and 4 lbs, is just a delight. When she came into foster care she had a habit of nipping. She's much better now and really enjoys being pet and getting bunny snuggles. She is still a bit cage-protective, but that's not unusual with girl bunnies; they don't like you messing with her things! Bettina may do best in an x-pen setup where she can have more freedom or a cage that is on the floor with the door left open so she can come and go as she pleases. She LOVES to play in a Cottontail Cottage and fling a few toys about for good measure. If you're a bunny-experienced family who understands the dwarf personality, you may be the right home for pretty girl, Bettina.
Little girl, Bonnie, is a sweet bunny hoping for a wonderful new home. This darling little girl looks like a New Zealand, but she's a smaller bunny; about 5 lbs. About 8 to 10 months old, she is easy to interact with and enjoys attention. She also loves chew toys, including her Cottontail Cottage, grass mats and willow balls. Bonnie has just been spayed and is excellent with her litterbox. She might make a good companion to a sweet bunny boy, or a wonderful new friend for a family that can give her a lot of attention. ** ADOPTED 3.29.08 ** See my Happy Adoption photo!
Elvis Parsley is a handsome little bun boy, looking for a loving new home. Are you looking for a heart that's true? Then look no further! Elvis is a darling bunny boy who is hoping for a loving family of his own. About 1 year old, Elvis a dwarf mix bunny who weighs about 4 lbs and has fur like "black velvet." He's excellent with his litterbox and loves his fresh hay and veggies. A bit on the shy side, Elvis does warm up to gentle petting and a good cuddle or two. Once he gets comfortable with you he becomes happy and playful. Elvis might do okay in a home with older, gentle children (10 or older), but is too small and delicate for a home with small children. Too much noise and activity makes him nervous. He is best suited to an adult home where he will be the center of attention and have plenty of time to interact with you. Contact us if you feel Mr. Parsley might be the bun for you! Email hrs@sandiegorabbits.org to learn more about Elvis Parsley.

Skipper is a darling little guy, eager for a new home! This handsome guy is about 7 or 8 months old and about 5lbs. He's a smaller guy, and sort of a "half lop" with cute up and down ears. Skipper is friendly, active, and fairly easy to handle. He's neutered, litterbox trained and a great hay-eater; important for good health! Skipper would do well in an adult home or one with well-behaved children over 10 years old ** ADOPTED 4.6.08 ** See my Happy Adoption photo!
Pretty Suzie is a darling of a little girl who loves attention. This pretty Dutch girl is about 8 months old, spayed, and good with her litterbox. She loves attention and enjoys the company of humans and other rabbits. She would probably be fine with nice kitties and gentle dogs. Suzie would do well with a family and children, as she is active, inquisitive, and benefits from a lot of attention.
San Diego HRS works with local shelters and humane societies to help them find homes for their adoptable rabbits. We need more volunteers who can help in shelters; even a few hours a week makes a great difference fo the rabbits. Weekday volunteers are our greatest need at this time, with the Central and South "county" shelters having the greatest need. You must be at least 18 years old and go through the shelter's orientation program to begin volunteering.
Email volunteer@sandiegorabbits.org to learn about volunteering with rabbits at local shelters. The bunnies will thank you!
