It is HIGHLY recommended that you house your new rabbit indoors. Rabbits are prey animals and San Diego County is home to many predator animals such as hawks, owls, coyotes, raccoons, foxes and bob cats, all of which kill small animals left outside (even rabbits kept in a cage or hutch). Wet or hot weather and parasites such as fleas, flies, and mosquitoes also can be deadly to rabbits. You can easily house your rabbit indoors and make him a part of your family.  He will live a much longer and healthier life, and you will enjoy him so much more.  Learn more about housing your bunny indoors at Indoor Bunny Housing

Escondido Humane Society is participating in a partnership with the PETCO Foundation to place shelters rabbits for adoption, in stores.  Visit EHS bunnies at PETCO stores in Escondido (Valley Parkway & I-15), Carmel Mountain Ranch (Carmel Mtn Rd & Rancho Carmel Drive), and Poway (Poway & Community Roads).

Flower is a 3-1/2 year-old snow-white girl, spayed, with beautiful lavender eyes. Her former foster mom says Flower has a great personality--sweet, loving, and curious. She's very tidy with her litter box and loves to be petted. She's pretty easy to handle too. Flower would be a wonderful family bunny and is used to dogs and pet birds. Her favorite thing, though, is eating--fresh hay, greens and veggies. Come check out Flower and all her precious roommates.

Flower is available for adoption at the Poway PETCO store, 13375 Poway Road (corner of Poway & Community Roads). Stop by the Poway PETCO store to complete an adoption application. To learn more about Flower email Jenny at jmclaug@prodigy.net.

Madison is a pretty girl, a gray and white Dutch breed. Her former owner couldn't take care of her, and Madison came in having been given only dry cat food to eat! Not good for a vegetarian. But with lots of fresh hay and greens, she has turned the corner. Madison is very friendly and loves to be petted. She has recently been spayed. Her holiday wish is to find a loving, caring, forever home--possibly with you?

Madison is available for adoption at the Poway PETCO store, 13375 Poway Road (corner of Poway & Community Roads). Stop by the Poway PETCO store to complete an adoption application. To learn more about Madison email Jenny at jmclaug@prodigy.net

Lucky is an adorable ebony-colored girl. She's about 2 years old and has been spayed. Lucky was found as a stray and had apparently been attacked by a dog. A kind person rescued her and brought her to the shelter. Her wounds are healed now, and her beautiful fur has grown back. She's a sweet-tempered bunny and easy to handle. Lucky is ready to be adopted into a quiet home without dogs. She can then be your best friend. Are you her lucky match?

Lucky is one of the featured bunnies available for adoption at the Escondido PETCO, 1000 West Valley Parkway, Escondido (just off the I-15 freeway and Valley Parkway). Learn more about Lucky by e-mailing Jenny at jmclaug@prodigy.net

Her personality has really blossomed since being moved from the shelter to Petco, where she gets more attention and run time. Paige has been spayed and is eager to be adopted. She would probably not have enough patience for very young children, but would otherwise be a great fit into a loving home. Her ID no. is 26906.

Hope is on the chubby side, probably not getting enough exercise in her previous home. With daily run time and a good diet of hay and fresh greens (such as the cilantro she's munching here), Hope will get her svelte figure back in no time. She's been spayed and is ready to be your new best friend.

Little Tiana is an adorable coal-black girl. She's a Dwarf mix and has cute little ears. She is not feisty, like many Dwarf buns can be. Tiana is a sweet girl who loves attention and will bow down her head for pets. She's about 10 months old and has been spayed. Tiana loves to play in a Cottontail Cottage when she's out for her daily run time. She's ready to be the princess in your life. Will you give this little lady a loving forever home?
