Please contact jmclaug@me.com for more information about the rabbits on this page (unless otherwise noted).
It is HIGHLY recommended that you house your new rabbit indoors. Rabbits are prey animals and San Diego County is home to many predator animals such as hawks, owls, coyotes, raccoons, foxes and bob cats, all of which kill small animals left outside (even rabbits kept in a cage or hutch). Wet or hot weather and parasites such as fleas, flies, and mosquitoes also can be deadly to rabbits. You can easily house your rabbit indoors and make him a part of your family. He will live a much longer and healthier life, and you will enjoy him so much more. Learn more about housing your bunny indoors at Indoor Bunny Housing.
Escondido Humane Society is participating in a partnership with the PETCO Foundation to place shelters rabbits for adoption, in stores. Visit EHS bunnies at PETCO stores in Escondido (Valley Parkway & I-15), Carmel Mountain Ranch (Carmel Mtn Rd & Rancho Carmel Drive), and Poway (Poway & Community Roads).

Don't let their innocent faces fool you - this strongly bonded pair will try to get in as much play time as possible. Dex & Tasha love wooden chew toys, dried papaya treats and romaine lettuce as a snack. These two are a fun pair who would do best in a home that allows for plenty of "out" time.

Beware of cuteness overload! Look at this precious lop boy--what handsome coloring he has. Tanner is a curious and friendly guy and has been neutered. He loves to play, especially with paper bags; he hides in them, jumps over them, digs at them and crinkles them. Tanner loves to be petted but, like most bunnies, isn't fond of being picked up. He would much rather sit beside you and hang out. He's an excellent jumper so would do best housed in a 36-inch tall exercise pen--indoors of course. Come check out Tanner and all his wonderful roommates.
